So for those readers who are less than interested in fashion inspirations, I'll make these posts after the jump for you. You are welcome.
For the rest of you, I always see styles in movies or on TV and want to recreate them somehow, but I've never found a concrete way to consolidate my ideas other than searching the internet for someone else who's taken the time to do it. This is my attempt at documenting some of these ideas that I have, and hopefully, the follow-through when I actually buy some of the outfits. We'll see how it goes.
I'm using this website called Polyvore where I'm clipping apparel and accessories from different stores online and it tracks where the item came from and the price. It seems great so far.
Here is my first attempt at a style inspiration that I've been thinking about for a while. I love Gossip Girl, and I especially love Blair Waldorf (but I HATE Serena van der Woodsen, and not just because of her ridiculous name). I consistently adore Blair's wardrobe on the show, and while she's usually wearing Dior or Marc Jacobs or other things that I can't afford, here is my first attempt at a "knockoff" look from some of my favorite outfits. Hover over the items to see where I found it and how much it costs. Take a look!
